Marketing Specialist - Lead Generation

Seeking a creative, entrepreneurial individual to join our team as a Marketing Specialist. This individual will focus primarily on lead generation, but will have the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of marketing – branding, advertising, copywriting, online marketing, SEO, market research, social media, event planning, web marketing, sales support, internal communications, PR and more. Job Accountability/Responsibility:
- Develop and execute strategic lead generation campaigns to drive sales that are product and/or solution focused. This includes, but is not limited to: online advertising, email marketing, solution seminars, webinars, events, microsites, direct mail and other special promotions. Track success and measure ROI on all campaigns.
- Segment customers based on analysis of data within CRM system to identify opportunities to promote various products/services to customers.
- Monitor ongoing customer activity within CRM system to gauge market share, identify upsell opportunities and to track success of all marketing initiatives (measuring ROI).
- Manage the marketing automation system
- Qualify some incoming leads for the sales team
- Assist VP Marketing in the oversight and management of hostedsolutions.com, including overall structure, design, content management, navigation, and special promotions.
- Continually monitor organic search results and work to improve rankings by implementing SEO best practices
- Assit in overseeing the operation of the chat platform on the company website (administered by sales) and utilize data from the platform to increase performance of the site (increase page views, pages per visit, average time on site and conversion to lead.
- Continually monitor the competitive landscape to stay informed regarding competitors’ strategies, websites, products, services and the latest news.
- Work with outside agency on the planning and execution of online advertising campaigns. Continually test various online advertising approaches to determine most successful mix, including paid & organic search, display ad and more.
- Oversee development of creative for all lead generation campaigns – working with outside agency or individual designers.
- Oversee the company’s social media presence on various blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, etc.
- Lead the planning and execution of select events for the company, including trade shows, conferences, solution seminars, internal events, partner events, hospitality events, sporting events and others. This includes all event coordination and management, logistics, pre-show promotion, on site management, staff training and oversight, and post-event follow-up.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or English
- Minimum of two years professional experience
- Experience with online marketing (SEO, online advertising, Google AdWords) a must
- Experience with lead generation for a company selling a complex solution preferred
- Experience with social media
- Strong writing skills (writing, editing, proofreading) a must
- Experience using all Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Event planning experience preferred
- Agency experience a plus (advertising agency or PR firm)
- Willingness to travel 2-3 times/month
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships across managerial levels and functional organizations
