Storage Engineer

Primary Accountability/Responsibility:
Hosted Solutions is looking for an experienced Storage Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise storage solutions in production environments. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Accountability/Responsibility:
- Work closely with other storage engineers on new implementations as well as maintaining the current environment.
- Act as a technical escalation point within Central Operations for storage specific issues.
- Responsible for implementing and guaranteeing process and systems are in place to deliver highly available storage platforms.
- Creates documentation for customer environments, processes, technical training, and support procedures.
- Provides training and technical leadership to Tier I personnel.
- Provide additional support when necessary for backup and server virtualization functions.
- Drives efficient and effective resolution of customer issues.
- Participates in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage of critical customer and internal systems.
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- 3 years experience administering EMC CLARiiON Arrays
- 2 years experience administering EMC Celerra
- 3 years experience administering enterprise SAN switching environments
- 4 years System Administration experience, any OS
- 2 years experience working on an Enterprise Operations team
- BS Degree or equivalent experience
Desired/Skill Requirements:
- Experience with Symantec NetBackup
- Experience with NetApp filer, NAS
- Experience with Cisco MDS fibre switches
- Experience with Brocade fibre switches
- Experience with EMC RecoverPoint
