Windows Team Lead

Primary Accountability/Responsibility:
The Windows Team Lead is responsible for directing the day to day activities of several second tier operations personnel, as well as to provide third tier escalation support of a variety of Windows Server Technologies. This person will assist in defining key processes and procedures for the Windows functional area, as well as formalizing documentation of the same.
Job Accountability/Responsibility:
- Recruit, retain, and manage Windows Systems Administrators.
- Coordinate Windows team tasks and provide weekly status reports detailing team activities and productivity metrics.
- Build process, procedure, and documentation to ensure high quality customer support.
- Oversee support of production operations infrastructures for internal and external customers.
- Work with sales and project management staff to execute on customer installs.
- Provide expert level escalation and technical leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert for a range of Window’s technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, Server 2003, and Server 2008.
- Provide customers assistance throughout the sales and implementation process to create server solutions that meet specified requirements.
- Direct quality assurance activity on all customer installations.
- Report on key performance metrics for the Windows functional area and be responsible for ensuring adherence to service level agreements on customer issues.
- Organize and participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.Drive staffing, training, and technical development of team personnel.
- Drive documentation of customer environments, processes, technical training, and support procedures.
- Create and track team metrics to demonstrate optimal personnel utilization and efficiency.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience in a leadership role involved with windows server technologies in production environments
- 5+ years experience with Windows Server technologies in a high availability data center environment
- 5+ years experience managing Active Directory
- 2+ years experience with Windows Clustering
- 5+ years experience with Server Hardware
- 1+ year experience with Windows Server in a virtualized environment
- 2+ years experience managing a team of technical resources
- 5+ years experience writing technical documentation
- Current experience with Windows Server 2008
