Duke University Unit Picks Hosted Solutions for Managed Hosting

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Hosted Solutions, a Web hosting and data center services provider based in the Carolinas, said on Thursday that it has signed an agreement to provide managed hosting services to Duke University's Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) through 2008.

According to Hosted Solutions, it was selected because Duke Univesity's PRMO believed its flexibility and understanding of key technology issues, in-depth focus on application management solutions, and the layout, security and infrastructure of its data center stood out from the rest of the vendors it considered.

“Hosted Solutions's entire team, from its sales department to its technical staff, made the transition from our previous out-of-state service provider appear seamless,” said Roman Perun, manager of internal consulting for PRMO information systems. “They provided us with excellent recommendations and guidance that really met our specific needs. They were very up-front about what would work best for us and helped us make this move in a manner that was tailored to meet our needs and our budget.”

Hosted Solutions operates two data center facilities in Cary and Charlotte, North Carolina.
