Hosted Solutions-Charlotte Signs Multi-Year Agreement with Diversified Investment Advisors
Hosted Solutions wins in head-to-head competition with local service provider.
Cary, NC - August 19, 2003 - Hosted Solutions, the Carolina's leading data center and Web hosting company, announced today that it has signed a deal with Diversified Investment Advisors, a division of Netherlands-based Aegon, one of the world's largest companies, to provide the firm with hosting services through 2005. The contract includes a secure cage with room for up to 80 servers.
The deal with Diversified Investment Advisors marks the latest major client-win since Hosted Solutions opened a new $12 million, 12,000 square foot data center earlier this month - a facility recognized by industry observers as the most advanced Internet data center in the Carolinas.
John Walker, Vice President of Diversified Investment Advisors, said his company selected Hosted Solutions after comparing its services with another local service provider.
“We've been using Hosted Solutions's Raleigh facility and a local competitor for 18 months, and we have determined that Hosted Solutions's business practices, security policies and reliability are a better fit with our business model,” Walker said.
Diversified Investment Advisors provides retirement plans through financial advisors to people from all walks of life. The Internet is critical to the company's business model because DIA has numerous Web-based tools that help its clients make investment plans online, Walker said.
