NCTA 21: Top Mid-Size Technology Company of the Year
Hosted Solutions, the East Coast’s premier provider of IT infrastructure as a service (IaaS), today announced that it has been named “Top Mid-Size Technology Company of the Year” as part of the 2009 NCTA 21 awards, from the North Carolina Technology Association.
The NCTA 21 Awards are recognized as North Carolina’s most prestigious awards in the high-technology sector, celebrating innovation and excellence in the state. The annual showcase honors companies and individuals in 21 categories who represent the best and brightest in technology and business.
Winners were recognized at the annual awards gala on Thursday, November 12 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Cary, N.C., presented in conjunction with title sponsor Grant Thornton. The theme for this year’s event was “Survivor: Outtech, Outdevelop, Outlead” and was attended by a record crowd of more than 650 business and technology leaders from across the state.
“This year’s 21 Awards truly showcase the best technology and innovation that our state has to offer,” said Brooks Raiford, president and chief executive officer of NCTA. “We couldn’t be more pleased to congratulate Hosted Solutions as a company that is leading North Carolina’s technology industry, and we are proud to recognize them as a winner of the Mid-Size Technology Company of the Year.”
This is the latest in a string of awards for Hosted Solutions this year. Just last week, the company was ranked #6 on the Triangle Business Journal’s “Fast 50;” Hosted Solutions’ Founder and Chief Executive Officer Rich Lee was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas for 2009 and Business Leader of the Year for 2009. The company was also included on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s top privately held businesses, Top Managed Hosting Providers and more.
