Hosted Solutions Releases Stratus Cloud Storage

Web hosting provider Hosted Solutions (www.hostedsolutions.com) announced on Tuesday it is now offering Stratus Cloud Storage, a cost-effective product that enables companies to manage and archive data.

The announcement follows last November's introduction of a hybrid option for Stratus Trusted Cloud solution, which gives companies more options on how and where to host their IT infrastructures.

Stratus Cloud Storage includes the replication of data between Hosted Solutions' SAS-70 Type II data centers in North Carolina and Boston, as well as tools to facilitate access without programming.

The solution is built on EMC's Atmos platform, which is designed to help service providers, ISVs and developers manage and optimize external clouds.

Offering scalability and flexibility along with automated data placement, the solution efficiently delivers content and information anywhere in the world through a standard interface.

Stratus Cloud Storage now uses CloudArray from TwinStrata to provide easy access and increased performance for applications accessing data through a Stratus Cloud Storage implementation.

Stratus Cloud Storage is either available as part of Hosted Solutions' Stratus Trusted Cloud platform, or a standalone service.

The product delivers a full range of benefits, including rapid implementation, elimination of upfront capital expenditures on hardware, and ongoing maintenance costs, and the ability to rapidly deploy additional storage on an as-needed basis.
