Tech veteran Jeff Kramer joins Hosted Solutions

Jeff Kramer, a veteran of several technology operations in the Triangle, is joining Hosted Solutions as vice president, technology, the company announced Monday.

In his new role, Kramer will be responsible for overseeing architecture and product strategy across the organization, the company said.

Hosted Solutions is the East Coast’s premier provider of IT infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

Kramer brings more than 25 of experience in both entrepreneurial and established environments, most recently with Lulu.com, the online publisher, where he was senior vice president for engineering and technology operations.

"He’s held leadership positions and delivered very strong results for some cutting-edge technology companies. He’s well-known in the market for driving technology teams to deliver products and services that solve key business problems."

Prior to Lulu, Kramer worked for Motricity and its predecessor, Pinpoint Networks, starting as vice president of engineering and operations, then leading the architecture and technology group. He was a driving force in the technical development and rollout of Motricity’s award winning Fuel platform for a number of key mobile operators, including AT&T Wireless, Hosted Solutions said in announcing his arrival.

Lee noted that Kramer’s experience in key areas such as designing highly available and scalable architectures in a multi-platform environment, virtualization, and improving the product development lifecycle, will be key for Hosted Solutions.

Kramer is chairman of the Triangle Technology Executives Council.
